Towson University Fall 2020 Career & Internship Virtual Fair – Student & Alumni Registration

The Towson University Fall 2020 Career & Internship Virtual Fair will be the biggest recruiting event taking place at TU this fall semester—and is open to all TU students and alumni.

Register now to attend. You will automatically be invited to a complimentary training session a week prior to the virtual fair. This one-hour training session will walk you through vFairs, the platform we are using. You will also be able to access the virtual exhibit hall days before the event to begin researching your areas and organizations of interest. Discover career opportunities that may be your professional calling.

This event is just like an in-person job fair, but online! It's an easy and efficient way to find full- and part-time jobs, internships, and network with employers for future positions. Some students have even said a virtual fair makes networking so much easier because it is online; chats and employer information is so readily available!

Employers will have the capability to:

  • Text and video chat with students.
  • Distribute sharable documents, videos and other content to booth visitors.
  • List open positions on a job board and collect applications online or on your own career portal
  • View the candidate’s profile and add notes or tags when chatting with them
  • Easily review applicant data and conveniently download resumes

Students and alumni will have the capability to:

  • Network with professionals
  • Meet companies who are hiring
  • Apply to open roles
  • Save and download content within their virtual "swag bag" for future reference
  • Easily share and submit your resume to positions of interest

Employers are working on creating their virtual booths, but you can view employers registered to date by visiting either Handshake Virtual Fall 2020 Career & Internship Fair here, or this site. Keep checking these links as the fair date, Friday, October 2, 2020, approaches so you can be prepared and knowledgeable on the day of the fair.

  • Set up your vFairs profile after you register for the fair.
  • Research the registered employers (through either Handshake or vFairs sites) and compile a list of employers you are interested in meeting—and this is important: also include the specific job(s) or internship(s) of interest as recruiters respond best to candidates who show evidence of focused interest in what specific roles they have to offer!
